GAIL L. BARNETT is a partner with Abendroth Russell Barnett Law Firm. She received her B.A. degree from Drake University in 1987 and her J.D. degree, with high honors, from Drake University in 2003. Gail was the recipient of the Drake Law School Ferguson Prize for her dedication to public service work.

Prior to attending law school, she worked as a case manager specializing in mental health and elder issues. Gail is a former senior staff attorney for the Legal Aid Society of Story County, and was employed at a local law firm for over ten years, specializing in Social Security disability claims.

Gail represents clients throughout the entire disability appeal process from the initial application to the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of the Iowa Bar Association and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR) and is licensed in Iowa and Federal courts.
